Cable Testers and Harness Testers Made Easy! |
Step 1: Gather parts.
What you'll need (Note: Quantities are specified in the Adapter Build Document printed by the easy-wire software):
| Step 2: Put the first adapter connector into the pin-1 end cap.
Make sure pin one on the connector adapter is oriented to the pin 1 mark on the end cap. |
| Step 3: Assemble the rest of the adapter block.
Put a spacer between each connector. Finish the adapter block by putting on the last end cap. Then tie the block together with cable ties. |
| Step 4: Wire easy-wire cables to the mating connector as described in the build document generated by the easy-wire software. | |
Step 5: Solder the wires to the LED as shown in the build document.
Polarity is not important. |
| Step 6: Pinch and insert each adapter cable through the opening(s) in the upper or lower strain relief plate. | |
Step 7: Reassemble the vise block, with the mating connector clamped firmly in place.
Be consistent with the mating connector orientation! All adapters with the same part number must be clamped in the same orientation. We recommend you locate pin 1 to the left as viewed from the front of the mating connector. |
| Step 8: Add cable ties along the adapter
cables as needed.
You are now ready to verify the adapter |
