Cable/Harness Testing Made Easy.

Have you ever needed to change the operation of a tester to fit your special test needs?

  • Activate some device during test?
  • Customize the user interface?
  • Activate a device based on test results?
Our newsletter this month investigates the challenges, the solutions, and the process of creating effective custom test applications using the Lua scripting language available on our Signature 1100R+/H+ and Touch 1 analyzers.

If you have any questions or comments, call us at 1-800-441-9910.

Are you interested in the possibilities of how a more "integrated" solution could improve your quality or production rates?   We have a growing collection of ideas that rely on the Lua scripting language of our most popular cable testers.   See if any of these ideas might help your operations:

Lua Programming Language

The Signature 1100R+/1100H+ Now Support The Lua Scripting Language.

Creating a more integrated solution by programming your tester with Lua scripts requires attention to a series of five basic steps.   The same steps are part of a normal cable/harness test creation.   However, when creating a special application, these steps must be thought through more thoroughly.   See a short video on the test customization process at:

Script Creation

We refer to Lua as a "scripting" programming language because it gets followed like a script by the tester.   The Basic programming language is similar.  See more about Lua at:

Scripting Introduction

Our Touch1 testers have been available with the scripting option for many years.   Now, the 1100 series testers have this same scripting language option.   With the low voltage 1100R+ tester less than half the price of a Touch1, the cost of setting up a specialized "whole test solution" is now even more affordable.   See more on the 1100R+, 1100H+, and Touch1 testers at:
